The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has created a Canada United Small Business Relief Fund in order to help small businesses with their recovery efforts as a result of COVID-19.
Although created by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, small to medium-sized (SME) companies from all sectors and all regions of Canada are eligible. A company can be receiving other COVID-19 related funding and still apply for the Canada United program.
Applications are separate for each province, and will require submission of invoices and receipts indicating proof of purchase. This reimbursement grant will cover purchases made after March 15, 2020 that fit the following categories:
1. Purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
2. Renovation of space to adhere to re-opening guidelines (specifics are outlined here in the program guidelines)
3. Enhancement of website/E-commerce capability
Successful applicants will receive a relief grant of up to $5,000.
Visit the website and program guidelines here for more information and to review the eligibility criteria.
