For families with children under the age of 6, the Government of Canada has provided a one time benefit tax-free payment to help supplement expenses for child care during 2020-2021 under the CCB Young Child Supplement Program (CCBYCS).
No application is necessary as CRA will determine eligibility based on your 2019 and 2020 Individual income tax returns and will receive up to $1,200 per child under the age of 6.
Eligibility:
- For the January 2021 instalment, if your family net income for 2019 is less than $120,000, you will receive $300 ($150, if over $120,000) per child under the age of 6.
- For the April 2021 instalment, if your family net income for 2019 is less than $120,000, you will receive $300 ($150, if over $120,000) per child under the age of 6.
- For the July 2021 instalment, if your family net income for 2020 is less than $120,000, you will receive $300 ($150, if over $120,000) per child under the age of 6.
- For the October 2021 instalment, if your family net income for 2020 is less than $120,000, you will receive $300 ($150, if over $120,000) per child under the age of 6.
Payments:
- May 28, 2021 (January and April 2021 periods)
- July 30, 2021 (July 2021 period)
- October 29, 2021 (October 2021 period)
