It has been brought to our attention that there are fraudulent calls being made by people claiming to be with the Canada Revenue Agency; making claims that there are warrants being placed by the RCMP due to unpaid taxes. The callers are requesting payment be made immediately by online banking in order to have the matter taken care of. If you or someone you know receives a call such as this please contact CRA or your accounting firm do not under any circumstance send a money transfer to the caller. The Canada Revenue Agency do not contact clients with outstanding debt requesting payment be made in this manner, nor do they advice that a warrant has been placed in the matter of out standing tax debt. Please disregard and calls or emails of this manner.
