As a reminder CEWS Period 10 and CERS Period 3 is due for filing on June 17, 2021 and the next deadline for CEWS Period 11 and CERS Period 4 is due for filing on July 15, 2021.
Open for Summer Lottery
The Alberta government has created an Open for Summer Lottery to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations, by offering 3 prize draws over the summer of $1,000,000 each.
Albertans who are over 18 and have received their first dose of vaccine or their first and second dose, can register to enter the first Open for Summer prize draw by completing the registration form found at https://vaccinelottery.alberta.ca/vl. Register early! Registration for the first draw will close 7 days after Alberta Health confirms 70% of vaccine-eligible Albertans have received their first dose.
To be eligible for the next two draws, eligible participants are required to have received both their first and second doses of vaccine prior to cut off dates noted below:
The second draw is planned for August 31st. Eligible participants will need to be register by August 24,2021
The third draw is planned for September 30th. Eligible participants will need to register by September 23, 2021.
Regardless of when you complete the registration form, you only need to complete the form once. You are automatically included in the next draw(s). To claim the prize money the winner will need to provide proof of vaccination(s) received for the applicable draw.
